Puppy ScamsBreeders have made us aware of a ring of exotic pet and puppy purchasers who offer cashier's checks which turn out to be insufficient funds as much as 3-4 weeks later when the bank has the check returned.
The other scam offers you a money order that is over the amount required to purchase the puppy (or other type of pet). Scammers offer to send someone to pick the dog up (sometime offering a bonus to hold the pet until the money order arrives) and ask you to refund the overpayment in cash to the person retrieving the animal. They leave with the dog and the cash.
Purchasers have been known to masquerade as a foreign national, a deaf priest, an invalided rich woman, etc.
FBI says possible connections to Nigeria, UK, Holland. Buyers actually come to your house to pick up the puppy. They have no shame.
Be vigilant and report to the FBI any documented activity.
Accept cash or require holding of funds for 30 days or more.

I am a breeder with years of experience in breeding Shorkie puppies and I gaurantee all of my pups. These puppies range in size from 3lbs and up. The mother is a Shih-tzu (8 lbs) and the father is a Yorkshire Terrier (3 lbs). These puppies are hypo allergenic (they don't shed at all), so are perfect for people with allergies! I have male and female puppies available currently, and all different markings/colors. You have to see these adorable teddy bear faces!! All of my puppies come with their first vet check up and approval, first set of shots and de-wormer, and their registration papers. They also come with a puppy pack with gifts for you and your new puppy to help you get started. I include pages of information on the breed with helpful hints in about the breed, about training the breed, pad/crate training and much more. I start potty training my puppies on pads in a specially designed whelping box starting at two weeks old. Every one of my dogs come potty pad trained and will stay that way as long as their new parents keep up with the training. There are four girls and three boys, born on Feb 16. The mother is a White German Shepherd and Wolf mix and the father is a Black Lab and Wolf mix, both are on site. The puppies were all born black and some have lightened in color; some will be predominantly black and others will have wolf markings. Because the mother has upright ears and the father's are floppy, it is most likely that there will be a mixture throughout the litter. They will be fairly large dogs when they grow up, about 75 lbs.
